Calling all you fit naturists - here is one for the diary - Sunday 14 June. Brighton sees the return of the Naked Bike Ride. A celebration of bodies everywhere, an amazing 400 riders took part in 2008, 180 in 2007, 160 in 2006, and even more are expected to pedal off nude in 2009. The Brighton Naked Bike Ride 2009 Event starts at 12pm on Sunday 14th June 2009 at The Level with lunch and a chance to decorate yourself and your bike. The ride starts at 1.30pm and finishes at around 4pm at Black Rock naturist beach for a post-cycle picnic and swim in the sea.
Described as a peaceful, imaginative and fun protest against oil dependency and car culture. A celebration of the bicycle and also a celebration of the power and individuality of the human body. A symbol of the vulnerability of the cyclist in traffic. The world's biggest naked protest: 50+ cities and thousands of riders participate worldwide, including around 2,000 in the UK in 2008
